2020-21 Sanitation Guidelines
Equipment Sanitation
IRE prioritizes the health and safety of our athletes and their families. Because of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we have adopted new sanitation guidelines for the 2020-21 season. Before and after every practice, poles, nets, balls, equipment, etc., will be cleaned and sanitized. Before and after every practice, players will be instructed to wash hands thoroughly for 20 seconds. Players will receive hand sanitizer on every water break, and intermittently throughout practice. Players will also receive hand sanitizer at tournaments, before and after games, and during timeouts.
Water and Food Guidelines
No water fountains will be available to athletes at practice. They are instructed to bring their own water bottle, with enough water for their individual needs. There will be no sharing of water OR food at practices between athletes. We understand that tournaments are a bit different, so we ask that athletes keep sharing of food and drinks to a minimum at a tournament if possible.
Screening Guidelines
Upon entering the gym, our athletes will have their temperatures checked and they will be screened for illnesses, specifically COVID-19. An IRE staff member will be at the door every practice to give instructions for screening.
***COVID-19 is a communicable virus however, IRE intends to stop the spread among our athletes as much as possible!
